Really liking how this is developing. I'm glad that Carter's gone (for now); he annoyed the heck out of me. Hope Kendra will take care of herself and not just be 'protected by the boys'! Keep it going.

It's good to see this scene where someone asks why the hell James had been gone so long. In the theatre, I kinda wanted M to throw something at him, but I guess that wouldn't be very dignified. :)

I was under the impression that this Carter fellow was supposed to be the love interest? I prefer Q though, and I actually thought that the shy med student could work very well too. You're the author though, and it's entirely up to you.
I'm really enjoying this. I get a bit fed up with the really sickly-sweet long-lost-daughter stories throughout the site (which is a little hypocritical, having written one). This one gives a far more realistic view of the difficult relationship there would be between father and daughter, especially when said father is a womanising MI6 agent with a drinking problem.
In short, I love this story and its constant suspense. I can't wait for the next chapter!

Well...I have to say you've really given "Bond discovers he's a father when a long-ago tryst comes back to haunt him" a new coat of paint. Especially since Kendra is badly damaged goods from Silva being his usual psychopathic self when it comes to taking rejection and betrayal far from well...suddenly, I see Bond's confrontation of Silva and his thugs at the Bond ancestral home taking on a whole new element if/when Bond finds out Silva was the party who sentenced Kendra to three tortuous years of prostitution (if not wanting revenge on Silva for both Serena and Kendra's sakes).

Can't wait for more!
