Very cute! The end made my laugh a bit. "Then we must both face the wrath of Leia this morning" I started to imagine Leia sharpening an axe whilst laughing most evil like! :)

That was a dramatic start, the fight between Luke, the Emperor and Vader. The use of streams of light to signify the Emperor's attempts to control Vader's mind was a brilliant idea.

Your Darth Vader is psychologically realistic. Although his anguish at his son's suffering is genuine, he (fortunately) does not swing over to the good side completely, and carries on bullying his subordinates in his usual Vader manner! The reaction of the both the Rebel and Imperial troops is realistic, too - their sense of shock and confusion is admirably conveyed.

I especially loved your little touches of humour - Darth Vader realising that he needs to project a "good" image to his son, the Imperial officer with a crush on Princess Leia, and the bit about the Hutts losing weight!

I've only read as far as Leia's announcement that Darth Vader is her father, so I guess I have no business to be writing a review, but what the heck!

Great story! I read it on your web site, and it's one of best Vader fanfiction I ever saw (and I saw a lot). I wonder how Leia's children will grow up with a graddad like Vader... :) A sequel? Please?

PS. A long time ago in a country far far away (Russia) we discussed Vader's backgroud with my friend - and came up with a version very close to yours. I think it means, it must be how it *really* had happened. Lucas could be in error, no? :)

i like it, theres a good balance of humor, drama and a little action. the charactors also have human qualities that arent manifested in most stoies. i also thought the charactors acted more to what they're respective ages would entail. in short its one of the better stories ive read :)
