I read this lovely little story while swinging in my hammock on a break from work, which was just how your prose felt to me. Easy-swinging, rhythmic, and warm like the sun on my face now. This was a wonderful spin on closing one door to find another open and I love your star analogy. Captivating characters taking risks and having it pay off was a delightful way to spend my lunch break. I thank you and look forward to reading more of your words.

This was lovely. And real. I love the real-ness of the people you write. Perhaps they're flawed, perhaps not, but there are no tricks or devices to cheapen your characters to make them sensational or manipulative of our emotions or interest. Well done!
