You've got Sherlock's voice down absolutely pat, the way he just notes absolutely everything except for the heart of things... and the tension throughout this was just brilliantly executed. I think my heart stopped a few times in there. John's emotions (and Sherlock's not-quite-lack-thereof) were very vivid and easy to fall into. This set of lines I particularly liked: "It is not comfortable. This makes sense to Sherlock. Need and want and desire are never comfortable." YES. Thank you so much for writing this. . |
