Reviews for The Twelve Years That Followed
Forever Siriusly Sirius 4/4/13 . chapter 13
This is really interesting, I like how its a dark!au and I like how you've described the world. The communes and the censorship. How the Malfoys are still semi disgraced and I am really enjoying the progression of the Drastoria relationship! In my head, astoria is actually pro muggle, not just a liberal pureblood, but I really like this version of her too.

Awesome job!

Oh my God! I MISS UUUU! :)

Great update!
Blaise is... AMAZING!

What's wrong with Narcissa?
Aya Diefair 4/1/13 . chapter 13
Wow, this was a very long and informative chapter! I found it well worth the wait, and I'll wait even longer to read more! I really enjoy how you portray Bellatrix, so amazing and so Bella! And Blaise, charming yet dramatic and sarcastic, just like I've always imagined him.

I am still super curious about that thing in Gringotts, and now I am suspicious of Ling Su...what is she up too? Hmm...Also, Draco's flawless alibi had me convinced, and I knew where he was the whole time. That is saying something. :) I love how you had Bella so eager in waiting for him to slip up, clearly even being related doesn't score any brownie points with her.

Just a couple mistakes I noticed:
-After dressing [-this isn't necessary], Draco headed down to the owlery ...-
-She had fought tooth and nail for the Dark Lor[d], her loyalty was unrivalled [unrivaled] .-
I believe there was a larger paragraph where the quotations were missing near the beginning, but I can't locate it for you. Was just a little hard to know where they stopped speaking was all.

Also, this paragraph (I broke it up with [...] to not make this post any longer than it is already) seemed a little busy to me and I had to re-read it slowly to follow his story. Perhaps separating it up would help it:
-"Well … I woke up very comfortably … surrounded by cushions, fresh fruit, wine, food, all the pleasures of the Earth … and … I confess, more women." a mischievous smile appeared on his face and his eyes glinted like the little sphinxes on his robes. Theodore burst out laughing. [new paragraph] "Now these weren't just any women, each one was more beautiful than the last [...] This presented something of a problem, as you can imagine …" he trailed off rubbing his chin. Theodore looked confused as the adults sniggered. [new paragraph] "I asked the goddess about why it might be, [...] Time stood still. And then I realised [realized]…"-

Great writing!
The Otter Puff 2/27/13 . chapter 12
I read all your chapters which are really good but I have a few questions to ask you. How did Voldemort win the Wizarding war? Also why was the box so dangerous? That Borgin wanted northing to do with it? Anyway from those questions I really liked your story and keep writing!:)

The Otter Puff:)

Here's a rare thing I'm sure. A review of fan fic from someone who hasn't read the original. I'm really enjoying this story. Each chapter is building my curiosity. I must have the rest now! It stands alone quite well so I'm not yet inspired to go and read 7 books of harry potter ;). I have had to look up some of the spells but the characters and settings are developed well enough that I don't feel like I'm missing out. Looking forward to reading the rest of this so lock yourself away and get writing!
Ryah Ignis 2/18/13 . chapter 10
Ack, tell me that isn't Ginny Weasley; surely Draco would recognize her if it was. Astorias great. Wonderful. Fantastic. I love that she doesn't really think. Poor George. He's probably the only Weasley alive at this point. Astoria just rocks it all. Just saying. Great chapters
Ryah Ignis 2/18/13 . chapter 9
That was so ironic. He was diving into a lake to rescue the broom of Professor Lupins son, where he was attacked by monsters that he didn't know how to dispel because be didn't pay attention in Professor Lupins class. It's sad how little he thinks of Remus and Tonks as Teddy's parents. Um...I loved Astoria in this. Just adored her.
Ryah Ignis 2/17/13 . chapter 8
Astoria Greengrass is slowly but surely digging her own grave. I loved her letter (both actually) and Draco's reaction to the first one. Voldemorts threats were very realistic. I can't portray him, no matter how hard I try, so wonderful job there. I love how protective Narcissa is of Teddy (I just can't call him Theodore)
Ryah Ignis 2/17/13 . chapter 7
Okay, I'm sincerely torn between wanting to say aww for Teddy and something g about him being a little brat, but then he was raised a Malfoy.

Speaking of which, I adored the Malfoys money struggles. It's about time, really. Blaise is quickly gaining my support, and Mr. Greengrass is just hilarious. Great work!
Ryah Ignis 2/17/13 . chapter 6
I loved Astoria. Who better to pair with Draco then her? I adored her take on the Undesirable camps. Something tells me if she knew Voldemort was behind the attacks she wouldn't be as supportive of blood segregation. It's kind of funny how she sees the marriage as a business option; Dracos way with words is great.
Ryah Ignis 2/17/13 . chapter 5
That was unbearably creepy. I loved how Draco was exactly like his sixteen year old self in his actions. His assessment of the Death Eaters was grimly humorous. The poor girl he met in the room; she must have been surprised. A death eater staggered into her house, vomited, apologized and left. It's nice to think he's not an evil person. Oh and I loved the book quotes.
Ryah Ignis 2/17/13 . chapter 4
Hmmm. Blaise should really be a tad more careful with Dark artefacts that could possibly destroy the world. I loved how Michael reacted to Draco. I'm sure he never really liked Draco at school, so being threatened by him couldn't have been fun. How is Cho still alive? She dated Harry? Well, I guess she's in the same position as Teddy. I'm actually starting to like this new Teddy. He's kind of cute.

How will that box fit in the plot? I haven't the slightest, but hey, Astorias about to get involved so things should get interesting.
Ryah Ignis 2/17/13 . chapter 3
I absolutely adored the conversation between Draco and Blaise. For some reason I've always liked Blaise: maybe because he was the only Slytherin that never seemed to now down to Draco.

I could picture Lucius mentally slapping himself during the whole conversation between Voldemort and Draco. It was a funny, but slightly scary, image.

Teddy, talking about his mother and father like that was horrible. I wish I could say he was only doing it to survive, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Interesting conversation between Draco and Andromeda.
Ryah Ignis 2/17/13 . chapter 2
I loved how much everyone's characters changed. Bellatrix is less vicious, because Lord Voldemort commanded her to be, Lucius is not as demanding, because of his fall from grace, Draco is far more serious and of course Teddy is totally different, but that's a given. Poor kid; being raised by Bellatrix could not have been fun. And of course I adored Andromeda's characterization after Ted and Tonk's deaths. Great work. I can't wait to see how Astoria fits into all of this!
Ryah Ignis 2/17/13 . chapter 1
What a wonderful introduction. You explained everything in a clear cut manner without doing a ridiculous amount of exposition that can completely throw the tone of your story. You slipped into the perspective of the essay writer so it sounded like it had been written for a competition. Everything made sense in a Voldemort world. This kind of AU is not often visited. Wonderful start.
