Why would you create something as painful and heart-wrenching as this? It's so creepy and sad and very well-written!

The premise itself is heartbreaking and very innovative, and I liked the slow dawn of realization I got about halfway through. I love the way you managed to do River's point of view, very challenging considering how little we know about the way she works. Over all - chillingly devastating, just enough exposition to get what's going on. And the title really adds to the story, which is something I'm always a stickler about, so good for you.
