This was definitely awesome! I did not see the whole Mashburn/Virgil team-up coming and Mashburn and Jane's appearance outside her window was extremely hilarious! I honestly wasn't sure how I'd feel about this once I started reading it, but having finished I can honestly say I loved it. It was one of the best-written pieces of writing I've read on this site in a very long time, probably even better because it was written in the style of the time period in a way that seemed so effortless. I would definitely not be able to do that, so I give you both huge praises on this! Excellently done!

Ok, I was going to wait until the end, but that was just too great to wait! Poor Wainwright, but I guess he deserved it for being such a gold digger...
At first I thought it was very strange to take these characters and put them in this setting, but I find myself completely hooked on this! It is remarkably written by both authors and definitely feels as though it occurs within this time period. Even those who don't like the idea would have to commend you both on your ability to capture the time period so perfectly in your writing style.

What a wonderful story! I'm so glad you two decided to create an AU together and share it with us. I think you perfectly captured Jane and Lisbon-minus the terrible tragedies in their lives of course-and kept their personalities intact in a very fun setting for all Jane Austen fans. Here's to hoping that we get more of these stories from you both!

Oh, yes, I did love the scene quite beautifully ripped out of BBC's P&P. And the other P&P lines. :) And I enjoyed the little battle of wits between the two as they got around to the whole engagement thing.

Oh, that was so much fun! I'm not usually an AU person, but I was intrigued and thiught i'd give it a try. I'm a huge Jane Austen fan, as well as a Mentalist fan and really enjoyed the merging of the two world. I laughed several times at the well-placed Austin-isms within the story. The two of you did a great job incorporating everyone.

Drunk Jane is a fun Jane! And at last we reach the end and a great end it was! I'm waiting for another collaboration by the way ;)

Amazing ending to a fantabulous story! I hope my love is my best friend just like these two. I really want to read "Emma" now too, 'cause I thought "Pride and Prejudice" was quite good when I had to read it for english class last year, minus the difficult diction and syntax.
