Yay! Another chapter in one of my favorite stories! I always like to tell authors my favorite parts, but very bit of writing is so lovely, it's hard to pick a favorite, but I especially liked this:

In the bright and unforgiving light of the morning, she wished she'd had the courage to wait for his response. She'd changed the conversation before he could answer her in the moonlight, but now she found that she was desperate to know what might have happened next. She was slipping away from the promise she'd made to herself all those months ago when she'd returned from the Abbey and learned of his engagement to Elsa. Sitting alone in her bedroom, she'd wept silently until her body simply surrendered to the injuries of her heart. Laying alone, staring up at the ceiling, she tried to stitch her heart back together with the promise that she would not love him anymore. She'd sworn that she'd let the sun set on whatever dreams she'd created from the memory of his smile and the music of his laughter. She'd be alone again, safe with herself, protected by her faith and her command over her own heart.

She'd broken her vow a hundred different times. She broke it every time he smiled at her, every time he caught her eye or lifted her name in conversation. She lied to herself with abandon, allowing herself to imagine that he shared her same dreams and wanted nothing more than to feel her in his arms. In so many ways, it was no different than the games of make-believe she'd played with the girls in the nursery. She wanted nothing more than to believe that he loved her, and in the moments when she forgot her promise, she surrendered happily to the fiction.

...ANYWAY, thank you so much. Glad to see your life is back on track and hope to read more soon. I agree with whomever said that yo u have a bright future as a writer - you manage to deepen and sharpen every emotion, every feeling, every image. Bravo!

Awwwe Becky! What a cool chapter! It was certainly very worth the wait! I hope you did well on your final :] You describe the scenery really vividly I could imagine the whole thing! I am very glad you've got over all those things, especially the writer's block! Just a few days ago I thought this story is abandoned but now I know it's not! :P Anyway thanks for sharing your work and have a nice day Becky! D

Wow...I'm glad that it's finally finals, I knew once May approached you'd be writing again. I was the same way in college...should have been studying, but, needed a distraction now and again.

And, my goodness, what a chapter this was. The way you write the characters and the scene is simply brilliant. I do hope that in school you are taking writing courses for there is no doubt in my mind that if you keep with this, your books will be on the New York Times best seller list. What you have is a talent. A gift, if you will. Keep with it and you will have a bright future.

This has to be, hands down, one of the best TSOM fanfics I've ever read...I do hope you plan to continue! Thanks so much for sharing!
A Starry Summernight 4/12/13 . chapter 8
Ahhhhh this story is by far my top favourite TSOM fanfic! It is so exciting and adventurous and romantic at the same time! Thanks for sharing, I just love it! The way you arrange the events is just smart and reasonable, especially when it comes to Georg, Friedrich and Kurt's escape, I just couldn't help laughing! Very very nice work!
Oh and Whistling away the dark is a lovely song with Julie singing it as beautifully as always. Love her!
Good luck with you new semester! I certainly look forward to the next update and your 'about 1,500 pages of romance'! ;]

"How can I be certain of that life, the one I wanted so very much before, when I'm here, as you say, 'sitting in the middle of nowhere with you,' and there's no other place I'd rather be?"

Whilst I love your entire chapters, small lines like this just get me. They're so evocative and true to the characters. I'm eager to see where you take this story from here.

Oh, and Whistling Away the Dark is indeed a fantastic, evocative song. All of Julie's songs in that film are just perfect. Or just Julie is perfect.
