Wow. That was a whole bundle of things, and I've yet to pick out what all exactly they were. Lust is definitely there, uncertainty, irony, frustration, surprise... and my favorite of all: this odd sense of accepted bittersweet love. I won't say unrequited, because you don't get anything from Shepard's perspective.
