Ah nonsense! It was perfect! :) And either way, it's an ending but I like that you didn't "finish" it with any sort of finality, because it kind of fits with the two of them talking about their future, and you leave us all to imagine our own future Will/Mac (though I reckon we're all going along the same lines :p)

I love the idea of him calling while they're in the same room! And it's so sad (but so believable) that they've reached the point where Mac doesn't even believe him.
