Bluerosebud 11/19/12 . chapter 3 Some constructive criticism, if I may. I'm kind of puzzled by Chapter 3. Wouldn't Sherlock be a bit curious about why a man in a carriage pulled up to them and just up and kidnapped John thirteen years ago, as happened in Chapter 1? Wouldn't he be asking what John was did during that time, how he escaped, -if- he escaped, and in general what has led them to finally meet again so much later? I feel as though these are questions that no brother would wait to ask, and the meeting as written currently feels less like two brothers forcibly separated by a kidnapper and more like two brothers separated from, say, a divorce. More importantly, ignoring these details about the kidnapper reduces Chapter 1 to just a plot device. This story's pretty decent aside from this, save for spelling and grammatical errors that make a few sentences somewhat confusing. It's an interesting idea. |
Guest 11/17/12 . chapter 1 I like your theory, and look forward to the explanation of why the boys were separated. However, I think in your summary you underestimate the power of friendship :) |
