I'd suggest you plagurize an older story, that way fewer people will recognize it so easily.

Well, well, very nice! You got some skill! The story is a typical beginning of a new mercenary unit but if told with skill and intelligence. And if it's true that one of these "misfits" harbors a dark secret, it'll be very interesting to see how everything unravels. I'll be waiting with anticipation.
