Good grief! I actually didn't think anyone could write Adam 'Edge' Copeland as hot as I see him in my head but DAMN! You did it! I know exactly how Claire feels to be honest, as I felt the same way she does. Standing in front of that man is a near on spiritual experience. I know. I've done it. He turned my insides to mush and my words just wouldn't work! I think I babbled. Lots.

You wrote them both really well, and it was really nice that you gave Claire a family and a back story. It's nice to get an insight into her head.

Okay, first of all, I love Haven but its universe is too complicated for my level of writting. So I continously indulge myself by reading other people's fics and yours its one of the best There are. It's refreshing to see a different pairing than Audrey/Nathan/Duke and I absolute love your Claire POV. On top of that Dwight is just sexy as hell. So nice work, it's absolutely great :)

If Fabio truely is to blame ofr this? The man deserves a freakin' medal! This was beyond amazing! I have toyed with pairing Claire up with someone, mainly because her personality is just so...invigorating considering what is going on in the show. So pairing her with Dwight (who is so down to earth and mellow in comparison) just seems perfect.

This story has proven that. I love all the little things the most. Like the flower or the grocery store clerk. Clair psyching herself up and then calming herself down was just precious. Loved it! Keep on writing because your style is easy to read but kept me interested through all 10K words lol

omfg, can we talk about how much I love this? Cause I really, REALLY love this. I read it because CLAIRE and now I'm totally shipping these two. Because well, Claire is awesome and fabulous and I love her and I want her to get more fan love and I want everyone to write stories about her. And I love her getting support and sexytiems. Please write more of her? (And Dwight)?

This is perfection! I thought I'd seen a typo when I saw 11k of words, since usually FF people split stories into chapters unlike LJ, but I'm so glad it was that long. By the end, if anything, I wanted more! And I admit, I kind of paused and crinkled my brow in confusion before clicking when I saw the pairing, but I'm so glad I gave in because you made it work so flawlessly that now I can't see anything BUT this. I'm serious! And I so want it to happen but even if it doesn't, I'm taking your fic as canon and accepting it's all happening offscreen hence why we're not seeing it on the show, duh. ;)

I really do love these two characters individually though and I hope they'll still be around next season. I love the little talks Claire's having with herself in your story and how she's coaching herself through her emotions. It's just so perfect and quirky and exactly how I imagine her to be! But you also have her as every empathetic with her patients and why she's doing the job she's doing. It's no wonder Dwight is drawn to her kindness and determination when it comes to helping the Troubled.

I love how you don't have her get caught in some damsel-in-distress situation and not back down from what she's doing. Because, yes, technically like Dwight said, she has no reason to be on the front lines helping Audrey when her job description is to be behind a desk, but she won't let him change what she's doing to help people and he just has to live with that. That's so awesome to read and I love how slowly his feelings for her turn the point where he's more worried about her than he should be.

Her eyes widened and she felt light-headed. "I, I know that," she said haltingly. "You'd do anything to protect this town."
He shook his head. "I'm not talking about the town.")

I literally stopped breathing. *swoon*

The little side comments about his huge size and surprising grace are just the best, because, seriously, he's huge and she's tiny but omg, so cute! :D

The timeline for this is wonderful and I love how you wove it in the background of this season so that it really felt so seamless and like deleted scenes. I love all the details like him tidying up her office and gluing back the gift from her mother, their dinner plans made at the grocery store that couldn't go through, dropping her off from the haunted Holloway house, and of course, coming to her in the middle of the night.

("I wouldn't worry about that," he said. "Just because we're not like Nathan and Audrey or Jordan and Nathan or Audrey and Duke, doesn't mean we won't have issues."
"I can't believe you got them all straight," she said grinning.
"Who needs tv when you live here?" He shrugged. )

LOL. I had to giggle at the thought of what the people of Haven would watch on TV on a Friday night hehe.

I also really love the other characters you mention just in the scenes, such as the clerk at the grocery store and the woman with the flowers that need planting... they're not big characters, just there for the scene and conversation, but they're familiar to Claire and Dwight and the way you wrote it just made it feel very fitting to the story, not like a new character, but someone they'd see around town all the time.

Sorry this is long and rambling and me just gushing over things but wonderful, wonderful work on this and for making me see this pairing to the point where now this is actually how it's going down in my head, cause I can't see it any other way! Any chance you'll write more for them if inspired? Either way though, this was great from start to finish and I love the ending. Thanks so much for sharing with us, easily one of the best fics I've read in this fandom, I won't forget it! :)

That was a lovely story! I've never paid much attention to this pairing, but they seem so amazing! I don't think they will ever interact in canon, it would be awesome though.
And you really write very well, I really enjoyed the background before turning the story into a romance. Thank you for writing and sharing!
