That was... wow. I can't think of a word to describe it so: that was really, really, really, really, really good.

Ok, I'm coming into this late and, having read previous reviews of this story, I must say that they say it better than I could (except for that one about Blue loving Destiny instead). I will chime in about loving the angst of how they may both love each other, but neither will take that step, and how much "dying" puts Paul through, yet how much harder it may be for Adam. It's been a long time and you've probably moved on, but I'd really love to see you write more slash in this genre (which is sorely lacking).

You're not the only one who's had this thought about the relationship between Captain Scarlet & Captain Blue. My buddy, Abi Scott, did too but she's being mean and won't let me read her full story (she says she's too shy!). But I like what you've written. You've hinted at what COULD be without making it too overly sexual, which in some respects, is the kind of slash I prefer. Okay I know that my attitude kind of "defeats the object", so to speak, when it comes to slash. But I prefer some romance and some sort of plot when it comes to these types of stories instead of just sex (although there's nothing wrong with sex of course). Well done!

Truly beautiful and fantastic, you captured everything that appeals to me about the show. I've always felt there was something very bittersweet about the whole concept of Scarlet's indestructibility, but many people don't seem to grasp that. I would love to see more in the same vein!

I just adored your story.. I went looking for some Captain Scarlet slash not really expecting to find any ( and I was almost right, but it is very rare... too rare infact ...)

My husband just bought me the DVD box set and I have been reliving my youthful fascination and I must say your story and characters are smashing and I do hope you continue with this tale...

Bravo! Wonderful, if I do say so myself.
I grew up with Captain Scarlet and other Gary Anderson shows like Thunderbrids and Stingray and I must admit there was always something that struck me about Adam and Paul's relationship. I didn't quite know what it was at the time, me being what, six or so years old.
Anyway, I've grown since then, needless to say, and become hooked on Yaoi/Slash. Thus when I popped into ff.net's Captain Scarlet section just as a joke, a reminder of 'the good old days' if you will, Your story immediatley caught my attention. Unlike many of the other shows I watched when I was little, the thought of them together just seemed to fit, like I'd known it all along yet not been able to realise it.
So I siad something to myself along the lines of 'knowing ff.net the stories crap, but I'll give it a try anyway.' And then I read it and was blown away. Not only was the piece sophistaced and free of errors but was deep and realistic. I think you really managed to catch the essences of both characters in such a short work.
In short, I applaude your efforts, my only regret being that there wasn't more expertly crafted fic to read.
Anyway, that was my opinion, hope that it helped in some way.

This is really good. You've developed the people and their relationships very well - the characterisation (and the angst) is very, very believable. Great fic!

I just felt the urge to read this again cos I had the song in my head from Friday morning. Very sweet, a little soppy, bucket loads of angst - the perfect combination for a slash piece.

I love this. It's perfect angst, and the first POV works with it wonderfully. :) And it's Scarlet/Blue! How much more perfect could it get?
