dahlesreb 4/24/13 . chapter 2This was a fun little read. I really, really wish there was more WoT fanfiction, HP crossover or otherwise. |
Lens of Sanity 4/16/13 . chapter 2 Harry Dresden from the Dresden Files should be the third Summoned... Seriously, if only for the fact that the character has read Harry Potter and the Wheel of Time, so you've got oodles of opportunity for him and Lerner to riff on the others while taking the micky out of each other |
Grochek1 4/3/13 . chapter 2I like the start of this series. I hope you don't abandon it. As for the other summoning, I have 2 thoughts. The first is that you have someone who cannot connect to any power (Lerner), Some who can connect to their internal power (Harry & co.), and someone who connects to the power of the universe (Rand, Moiraine). All you need to complete the set is someone who connects to the power of the planet. The best example I can think of is the Heralds of Valdemar, but there could be others. The other thought is that you have different technology basis: Medieval Tech (Rand, Moiraine), Renaissance / Victoria (Harry & co. (Because Harry and Hermoine have abandonded their roots)), Modern (Lerner). All you need is someone with high technology such as Captain Kirk / Picard, Lt. Commander Data, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Capt. Sheridan, Delenn, and others. It all depends on how you invision the set of skills all the different groups bring to the table. Also, have you thought about bringing in characters from other fanfics, such as Ghost, Shadow, Crypt, Waltz, and/or Scabbard from the Naruto story "Yet Again, With A Little Extra Help." Anyone who has read that 1 million word story understands that I am introducing some extra hilarity into the story. For that matter, you could bring in someone from an anime / cartoon or comic book to complete another set: Real life (Lerner), books (Rand & Moiraine), movies (Harry & Co.), and then a cartoon / anime or comic book. Anyways, keep up the great work. Look forward to seeing this story move forward. |
Zelara 3/27/13 . chapter 2Mosk and Merk are Moscow and America, and the 'spears of fire which reach around the world' are Intercontinental Ballistic Missles. Its a legend about the Cold War. |
Mist of Rainbows 3/24/13 . chapter 2Nice start... makes me curious what or who they'll summon next. Not to mention how long the summoning lasts and such things. |
Navn Ukjent 3/12/13 . chapter 2Fun story. I have no idea where you are going with this! |
madbrad 2/27/13 . chapter 2Well, I've never read ... Wheel of Time? ... so most of this chapter didn't make much sense to me. And the super-duper Gary Stu style of flirting that irritated me a bit in 'A Curse of Truth', which came back in such force by the end of this installment - was a bit irritating too. (But amusing also.) Always fun to read of the interloper startling the wizards with knowledge taken from their canon future. |
madbrad 2/26/13 . chapter 1Good grief! What fun! First of all, so funny/interesting to see such densely packed 'Star Trek technobabble' in a *Harry Potter* story! But quite pleasant to read too, for one of the same reasons that the H/Hr pairing appeals to me so much - it's just *good* to see an *intelligent* Harry who's worked his way up to Hermione's level, bettering himself, behaving as a true 'hero', as compared with the happy-go-lucky best-mate-of-pull-him-down Ron Weasley who only survived through happy accidents and deus ex machina devices. It's sort of a surprise how much I enjoyed witnessing Harry pulling his weight and actively working so well with his intelligent companions in doing something innovative and practical. But maybe not; that sort of Harry really *is* different from Rowling's poor original. Then, secondly, it was quite pleasant too to read of Harry getting on so well with four attractive witches. :-) Thirdly, GINNY WEASLEY IS DEAD! Yay! (Okay, that's rather mean, since I've never picked up any hate-Ginny vibes from you, you might not get past the meanness to find the (HP fanon) humour. I should refrain, I don't normally endorse the death of young girls (BUT IT'S GINNY!). But the Ginny Wars are pretty violent out there in other parts of the HP fandom, where my joke would be happily accepted with grins all 'round.) Seeing William again was fun too; plus having him be a bit more open about his origins this time (and in record time!). Although he still hasn't told them that they're *fictional* characters in his universe. Just a fun chapter all 'round! Thanks! |
Teucrian 2/3/13 . chapter 2That's a lot more fun with other characters along for the ride, I think. I definitely approve. I'll probably actually be more interested in how things play out between the WoT characters and Lerner than any of the Harry Potter people. If you're going to be more realistic about the summoned characters' reactions to their situation, you should probably keep Lerner from becoming bosom buddies with Harry and Co, given their role in willfully ripping him away from everything he knows (as happened in a Curse of Truth). Anyway, good writing, keep it up! |
Deadzepplin 1/21/13 . chapter 2This is awesome. I wonder who gets summoned next and what the repercussions of the summoning will be? |
bandgsecurtiyaw 1/18/13 . chapter 2love it. |
vskyx 1/13/13 . chapter 1More please! This was awesome. |
Lieutenant Paladine 1/8/13 . chapter 2I love you. This is awesome. Can we have more? |
Gillian Grayson 12/29/12 . chapter 2I've only read the first book in the Wheel of Time series, so I'm not really up-to-date on the whole 'verse and it was quite some time ago, but perhaps this'll give me the motivation to go out and buy the other books. Anyway, about the chapter itself: It wasn't bad per se, but the latter half felt very info-dumpish. 'Course that could be because I'm lacking the background story on the WoT 'verse and all but it still didn't "flow" quite right if you ask me. |
serialkeller 12/29/12 . chapter 2This is awesome. Moraine/Lerner interactions are hilarious hahaha |
