Poor John, I hope you have better luck yourself in the future. I work in a shop in England. we have several customers who come in with guide dogs, two are regulars. One lady comes on her own, her dog Yasmin brings her to the till and then one of us walks round with her to get her shopping then we deliver it if there is a lot (we deliver for any customer who spends over £25). The other lady comes in with her husband and her current dog Falco as well as her retired dog Worthy, she says we are the only shop who lets both dogs in, most will only let her take falco. I would rather have twenty guide dogs than one small child with a sausage roll or cookie. The dogs never make a mess or touch the stock (we are a food shop) they never leave a puddle on the floor (we have had children and old people do this) they do not steal or poke holes in things yet we have to let people in who do all this and some customers complain about the dogs who are like living saints.
Give Hula a pat from me and stay strong, the only way to overcome the predjudice of the ignorant is with time and patience, looking forward to the sequal you mentioned.

Well in the UK guide dogs are always supposed to be allowed it says so on every building I've ever seen, if the dog is in its working harness it goes anywhere! Parliament, cafes, hotels .

Grrrrrr. I want to strangle certain people. But I'm glad that Johnny knows that his brothers are on his side. Good job. Great to see a glimpse into your world Five. I hope that stories like these can help teach people tolerance and acceptance. Xxx

Too true unfortunately! It's disgusting the way some places treat blind people and also how some people react when a blind person is around. I found that out the hard way this last year. Thank you so much for speaking out about it in this way. Well done!
