Fun to see Evelyn again! Is Tess an AU Imoen or Alora, with dyed pink hair and a cheerful attitude? If so, the renaming seems unnecessary. I liked the sci-fi descriptions and especially the bit about the Rift and the gardens - that was pretty. :) The character interaction was an enjoyable teaser for what might be to come.

I liked it. Exciting, ambiguous beginning. It's not yet obvious where the Baldur's Gate characters come in - but I'm looking forward to reading more. :)
