And what do we think of Riddick and Jayne's medical skills? Personally I always thought anyone as good at killing as Riddick had to have a good thorough knowledge of anatomy. And as smart as he is it was only a short leap from 'knows anatomy' to 'field surgery'.

Very plausible, I'm a second degree black belt and in getting there I picked up a ton of anatomy, arterial/vein locations, nerve clusters, ligament attachment points, skeletal leverage points. So yeah, if you're learing how to effeciantly take apart/break a body you need to know how it's put together in the first place.

Sorry I took so long to write my review. I'm usually very expedient about it, but my RL has gotten in the way. I love how you have shown Mal just a slight little peek of what Riddick's Animal is capable of when his pack is in trouble. I can't wait to see what comes next. River didn't paint a good picture of what will happen to those who stand in the way. I am eagerly awaiting your next update to this awesome story! Hurry please!

See you just gave us a tiny view of the animal...I knew I should have waited for the next update before reading this chapter. Now I'm going to be freaking anxious until next update. I can't believe how into these stories I get..must come from my love of reading.
So about the chapter...loved it! The background detail with Riddick and Jayne was awesome. Hopefully Mal and Zoe will have some respect. As for Zoe drugging Riddick, yes I can totally see her doing that. Hopefully Riddick just scares her a bit but doesn't do any serious damage, I like their friendship with Wash too much. Now Mal, hopefully he walks away with a very healthy dose of fear and respect of Riddick.
Can't wait.

Now, concerning Riddick & Inara's interaction in the Mess - because of how you are portraying him in this story I can see this "talk" being within his character's own actions. Inara has done nothing but be extremely helpful with River and her intimacy issues. That is going to raise her up a notch in his frame of mind. Also for his mates sanity, anything he can do to make things smooth he will do whatever it takes, including relationship, or lack there of, advice. So, in my humble opinion, I think you're portrayal of Riddick, your Riddick, is spot on.

I can't wait for the rest of this! I have a feeling that when Serenity blastes off world to save Book, Riddick will be on board as well, and after tell her that he will never be far away from her! Oh I would hate to be Mal when the sh** hits the fan! ;-) I have a feeling that that's when the Captain will meet the "real" Richard B. Riddick! I cannot wait!

I really liked that the 'pack' refused to tell Mal about how they know Shazza. I also really liked that she remained with her friends until she knew Riddick would be alright.
