   Immortal Fallen Radiance 9/8/10 . chapter 1Nice fic. Especially how Daisuke asked Koushiro for help and the amount of effort he put into preparing for the second match. And the ending was cute too. I’ve just got one question/point about the chess game:
Three moves? As in player one made a move, then player two made a move, then player three made the third and final move, or each player had three moves each? Because if it's the first one, the world record is actually four moves, or two moves each, and only a really amateur player would make a move as stupid as that. The usual fast win is four moves each, or seven to eight moves in total, and that usually works for someone who's not a pure beginner who leaves their king with a straight attack route and no exit, but not experienced enough to be able to pick up the technique. Three moves each, if that's what you're talking about, is doable, but its highly unlikely Daisuke would agree to those stakes if he was enough of an amateur to lose under four moves each, especially considering his improvement in the following game.
If any of that bothers you or anything, just ignore it. I just love playing chess, and teaching it, so I tend to pick at those sorts of things. |
