To be honest, when you revealed what had actually happened in the hallway… I was surprised. I'd kinda been expecting Felix to have a crush on Ralph already—recognized or otherwise—and for Calhoun to have spotted it. After debating it for a long time, she decided to cut her romantic tie to him so he could pursue his interest in Ralph (if he wasn't aware of his crush and she knew it, then she wouldn't mention it, so it still would make sense… it would just come up in a much later conversation or something, like… well, maybe at the point where Felix would be trying to sort out his feelings for Ralph, perhaps not sure whether Ralph returns them). Or something along those lines.

MY LITTLE RAMBLE ASIDE… It's a great story. I'll be looking forward to its updates, even if my speculation ends up being entirely off base.
