JBM 2009-09-03 . chapter 2 Well, I suppose you could always handwave the whole "harry not being the actual descendant of Gryffindor" thing by saying that different founders chose their Heirs in different ways; only the pure-blood obsessed Salazar actually made it a bloodline related things. The Heir of Gryffindor, then, can be a position that's given to whoever is able to effectively use the Sword of Gryffindor. |
evil-mastermind666 2007-01-03 . chapter 6I don't think you realize how happy you've made all of us readers. :) Squee! |
duj 2004-04-24 . chapter 12 Moaning Myrtle with a Cheering Charm? I guess the purple paint was safer. |
DaBear 2003-06-15 . chapter 2that mean that Harry is Gryf's Heir? would Tom be able to walk through green&silver? |
Calandra Facete 2003-06-05 . chapter 12I LOVED this story especially when Filch and McGonagall kissed; that made me happy.
I also liked the idea of Ravenclaw's secret room being a library, it kind of reminded me of the Clayr's Library in Garth Nix's 'Lirael'. I've always been interested in the Ravenclaws who, like the Hufflepuffs, don't get much mention.
I hope Snape figures out how to create the Alchemist's Door. I found it funny that he pretends to have no fondness for Azoth but he lets the cat follow him everywhere. Love the stories keep writing them. |
Calandra Facete 2003-05-09 . chapter 1I just have a question that's been on my mind since one of the hospital scenes (but I can't remember which one). Does Sirius suspect Filch's feelings for Minerva? I'm having fun reading the Squib series and can't wait to read more, so keep writing. |
Rey 2003-04-04 . chapter 12 Probably much too late in reveiwing this, as your comments indicate this was written at Summer's end and here it is Spring again, but I've just finished reading this one. I'm working my way through all the Squib stories because my roommate Bridgie (who you know and have gotten into a livejournal or something), introduced me to the first one and now I'm hopelessly addicted. I should have reviewed the other stories, but I tend to keep quiet on the net. She told me this morning that you *really* like comments, and since she knows you and everything, I felt compelled to add my words in here. I'm enjoying the whole series, my one criticism is that it's hard to tell sometimes which story follows which in sequential order. Numbers might be helpful.
I never would have thought of McGonagall and Filch together, but the way you've written it they're adorable. I never would have thought of Filch much, at all, actually. You've made me a fan. Bridgie does the most fantastic impression of him in the first movie ('God, how I miss the screaming.') and it's our favorite line now I think. Yes, we're crackmonkeys. I'll try to reveiw the other stories as I read them, when I get the chance to read them. Work keeps me busier than I'd like... six days a week with a meeting on the seventh, yay. Keep writing, people like you and Bridgie make FF.net a wonderful place. |
 oOwth 2003-01-30 . chapter 11^__^
Well, I always pictured Myrtle as a Slytherin. the Mudblood slytherin. And, in my Myrtle fic, there is going to be a slight Myrtle/Argus. But probably nothing more than a bit of a crush ;)
Of course Minnie just makes it worse. What with her good looks, going around stealing all the guys that Myrtle thinks might be nice. |
 oOwth 2003-01-30 . chapter 6hehehe the fluffy affect. ^_^
AWWWWW ^.^ she kissed him. |
oOwth 2003-01-28 . chapter 3oh I'm glad that the next chapter is already posted. Wouldn't want to be stuck at a cliff hanger here. Good story so far. ^_^
“Someone’s getting a filing cabinet for Christmas...” I muttered.
hehe. I laughed so hard my sister gave me odd looks. |
oOwth 2003-01-28 . chapter 2hehe. ^_^ Harry is Godric's heir isn't he. You said something about that in another A/N. hehe. Even if it isn't a plot I like very much, you have it in such a way, its not cliche. Its just fact. ^_^ Very good.
-still snickers at thoughts of Minerva and Argus in teh astronomy tower- |
oOwth 2003-01-28 . chapter 1" After that we went to the Astronomy tower."
-giggles uncontrollably- hehe |
netrat 2002-12-15 . chapter 2 I really like the Squib stories - but I wrote that in another place already. I'm just reviewing this particular chapter because I do think that Harry Potter should NOT be Godric's heir (although I seem to be in a minority here). The main qualification would be bravery, obviously, but I don't think Harry is any braver than some of the others, he's just had way more chances to prove his bravery. Neville Longbottom and Ginny Weasley, for starters, would be just as likely candidates. Also, when Harry put on the Sorting Hat in the first novel, he almost ended up in Slytherin. Since the Hat was created by Godric himself, I do think that his Heir would have to be someone whom the Hat would have placed in Gryffindor right away ... I also think that Harry could still be the Heir of Slytherin. That's just some ideas, though.
I liked the Snape effect - poor Snape - and I really like the descriptions of him and his kitten. He is quite a cat person! |
netrat 2002-12-15 . chapter 11 I really enjoyed all the Squib stories - I'm not going to review each chapter of every one, though, that would take ages.
Lovely Raven imagery in Rowena's secret place - one tiny nit, though: The symbol of Ravenclaw House is the eagle, not the raven. You can see it on the Hogwarts crest on the title page of each book. The House colours are blue with a bronze eagle. |
Angel 2002-12-03 . chapter 1 Just a general question about the doors.
Could red and gold pick up filch from Ravenclaw's library and take him to Godric's hiding place? or are tapestries keyed only to their own bit of castle?
