I look forward to the next chappy! The end of the previous chap got my interest...how in a mere three days they would be experiencing something together? Will the scene at Outwood still happen? Will Margaret be able to keep John away and still speak the truth? Will wait with bated breathe:) God bless

I just read it in one breath tonight and it is very lovely. Monte Christo is a perfect book for them by the way... :) Margaret and John are my favourite couple from these many novels and your story makes them so realistic. Great job!

This is gorgeous. I'm too tired for anything else. Sorry.

Do you have a recipe for ginger biscuits? This is a wonderful chapter full of so much feeling, ... you have such a wonderful way of writing! Thank you for sharing! L.

Oh lord I'm on tender hooks here. So looking forward to your next chapter. I hope Margaret wont have to lie to John. But hoping for a tender moment if she should run into him on the way. Hey, maybe they will meet half way and talk over the book sitting on a bench somewhere. Who knows John is so eager to spend some time with Margaret anyway he might not care where they talk.

As always your a genus with words and can only beg for more of your fine creation to come, so put us (your fans) out of our misery as soon as you can, it's just curl other wise. Jk! ;)

That Margaret Hale needs to bring some ginger biscuits with her to soothe the disappointment Mr. T is going to feel at being denied dessert at the Hales'.

Aaah, I enjoyed this chapter and the revisiting of tCoMC very much! You're right about the Jim Caviezel version being like fanfiction. Nice, wonderful fanfiction. :)

I hope to see another update, soon! I hope Mr. T will be understanding and not so quick to have wounded pride!

Very well written as the others have been, but really missed a John Margaret interaction. Really liked him standing up to her mother - and her wanting to tell John what she thought and holding back (bat having it ready if needed!)
Can't wait until the next!

Wow is their relationship changing! I love when she tells him that not every man is as strong as he is and then the gloves and the apology, well written and wonderful! Gah, the 'you offer far too great a temtaption...I think this one may be my favorite, I ammend my last chapter review!

HAHAHAHA - I LOVE the part about the Scarlet Letter, love it! I think that it is funny to see John sort of joking, loved it. Fanny was also a nice touch (much better than the movie...or book for that matter!) The whole understanding thing:
our understanding is not an understanding as many understand an understanding to be, you understand?
is so awesome. I am a little worried about Ann, not loving her, though I never did. I rewatched the movie recently and was shocked to find that she did not have a single line in it - amazing how much dislike she could inspire without a single word!

This is by far my favorite chapter. My only complain - which is not one on the writing - has that Dr. Donalson ever heard of patient confidentiality? I know that he shares stuff with John in the book, but wow. The whole fruit scene and helping at home was really sweet. I liked that they could break free from some of their stiff demeanor and allow the other to see a glimpse of their true selves.

How tender is that stairway conversation? Will she call on him for the whole Fred thing? that would really turn this story on its head wouldn't it?

I like the line with her father: They shared a form of silent devotion that he could feel yet not penetrate. It is sweet yet has erotic undertones... He wants her bad!

Getting to know you, getting to know all about you... : ) I like the flow of this chapter, John and Margaret are finding sommon ground. I really liked the bit about No one worrying about John. Fanny worried about staying, the aunt worrying about if he was important, etc. I think that it is good insight into him. No one puts him first except for his mother and is that really enough? I also think that the bit about Lord Goodwin is interesting, I saw his name later in the chapters...what is he going to be, compatition, maybe? I hope not!

OK, I read this all in one big go and decided to come back and review all of it - maybe it will give you incentive to post soooooon! This was good, I liked seeing the emotions behind the movie!
