Reviews for Farewell, Gypsy
JukedSolid 3/31/13 . chapter 7
Wow, I feel so bad for Corvo. Did the Outsider decide to leak his hotel number? It seems an odd time for journalists to come hounding him this late unless they were just made privy with a method to contact him. Anyway, I would enjoy a bit more character interaction and development, but i can be patient with the way the current pace is proceeding. Thank you for writing and happy Easter. -JukedSolid
Not So Broken768 3/26/13 . chapter 7
Poor Piero... And Corvo... They both are so confused about all of this and Vera's all "It happens." I wonder if Emily is going to want to play with... Harry the cat? XD Love it.
Redblade 3/24/13 . chapter 7
Oh, I've been waiting for this.
Poor Corvo, getting swarmed with the press. xD And now a get-together. That is bound to be VERY interesting. And possible paparazzi-territory.
And I know what you mean by enjoying the publishing progress. I's so satisfying.
GrossGirl18 3/24/13 . chapter 7
You evil person...
But there's Corvo/Emily cuteness and Callista with her uncle, plus The Amazing Race: Dishonored Addition, so that makes up for the cliffieish ending.
Anime Borat 3/7/13 . chapter 1
I came across your fic several but I'v read it at the recommendation of a friend.

I have to say that you've made an impression upon me. I never thought much about it but you successfully pulled off the modern AU concept pretty well. Dunwall for me reads like New York and it sounds to me like a noir thriller. And this is only the first chapter. The Pandyssia here would have been like the Ritz or Waldorf-Astoria. But that's my impression. The way you wrote the Outsider is reminds of the Godfather in a sense that he's a shadowy figure in the city's life.

Over all, this is a very entertaining story.
GrossGirl18 3/2/13 . chapter 6
O...M...G...
YES.
And Cecelia would definitely be just as evil as the Outsider if she had the chance.
Deathmage666 2/28/13 . chapter 6
You never cease to amuse me! I love this! Outsider is an evil troll to everybody and Im rolling in laughter. Thank you for the update, Im stuck in class right now, so your story made my day. Thank you! And keep up the good work!
JukedSolid 2/28/13 . chapter 6
A race! Brilliant! If only it would further acquaint Jessamine and Corvo a bit more ;) Emily needs to work her matchmaking skills! By all logical rights, Corvo should win the race. Hes not a Lord Protector in this story but that doesnt mean his natural physique and talents have changed does it? Forty flights? Pssh. Cakewalk. Thank you for writing and have a great day. -JukedSolid
JukedSolid 2/21/13 . chapter 5
Goodness. This was quite hilarious. When i started this story i hadnt even played dishonored, but now that i have it really is fun seeing the character archetypes youve designed for them all. The outsider really seems like hes just screwing with him rather than getting anything done, but I suppose that does fit his style. Poor Corvo. Looking forward to reading from you again. Have a good day! -JukedSolid
Chindu Prince Of Darkness 2/16/13 . chapter 4
This a masterpiece. One of the best original ideas I've ever seen! Really wondering what the Outsider has in store for Corvo, though. Excellent, excellent job!
Innocent Fox 1/28/13 . chapter 4
First of all, this is a brilliant idea putting the game into an modern setting. So far, it works really well, the characters actually feel realistic and well rounded. I especially like what you've done with Granny Rags, keeping her true to her original backstory and what you've done to demystify The Outsider, without taking away his mythical status. I'm very interested to hear more about the world itself.

You write well and this story highlights that fact immensely. Hope you keep up the good work and I see more of this story soon!
Story Stratos 1/20/13 . chapter 4
Very interesting so far, I hope that you produce more of this modern variation of Dishonoured, as it could prove to be quite brilliant. The characters in place so far are marvellously made, and make the modern setting harmonious, and not cumbersome like we see from other writers who use characters such as Ezio Auditore, set in modern London.
JukedSolid 1/17/13 . chapter 1
so i noticed that youve been posting quite a few stories forr Dishonored lately and I was hesistant to read them because I hadnt played the game yet. Then i saw this, which is an AU, and i thought "Perfect way to introduce myself to the characters without spoiling the story for myself." I promptly read all four chapters and Im currently playing the game at a rapid pace. Im still not done with the game yet but I agree that there was definitely something there between Jessamine and Corvo. Im not far enough into the game to see if there is any additional backstory. Ill do my best to provide reviews because your work definitely deserves that and more. -JukedSolid
Deathmage666 1/11/13 . chapter 1
I've gotta say, you've pulled off a magnificent feat. I tend to shy away from AU unless they're interesting but you...you took the cake. I am in love with this! (though I havent finished the game..shhh! Work and college dont give me enough time in my life, my only free time is on campus) I hope to see more and I cant wait to see how you develop this!
GrossGirl18 1/9/13 . chapter 4
The absolute best part of this chapter is when Granny Rags finds the treats The Outsider bought her- I really like the idea of having them in a relationship of sorts, and The Outsider being a gentleman.
I also like the piano player- modest, but humanly so. And I'm loving all the Corva and Emily interactions, because Emily is the bomb and should have a scene with every single person in the story, just because she's that great. Also, we get our first hin of Corvo/Jessamine interaction, so that's awesome. I look foreword to the next chapter greatly (as would anyone who reads this), so please do what you can to update as soon as possible!
