Both good and bad things about this.
The good; its a good story in and of itself. Rich in structure and technically good.

The bad; other than the names used, this Tiventer civlization could just be another genertic space faring civlization, with planet to planet teleporters. Especially since you elminated or never even metion elements that make Dragon Age, well Dragon Age;
-the Fade and the entities that inhabit it. VERY important for any story in Thadas.
-Darkspawn.
-And Trvinter slavers. Heck, the fact that they are a slowly collapsing corrupt empire and slavers is pretty much all we know about them from the games.

I like how you've blended both Dragon Age and Mass Effect lore into a believable whole. Can't wait to see how the confrontation between the Batarians and the Grey Wardens turns out. I also like how you've structured the Empire and I understand why you have not included dwarves in the mix. Looking forward to the rest of the story.

Loved the chapter. Shame on the dwarves though. I wondering if Meredith will show up. I really enjoyed how you structured everything, and the codex at the end was very helpful. Can't wait for the next chapter.
