Hmm... I always wondered about this. Poor Maledicta. Do we know why she wasn't killed? Anyway, really good fic. Possibly a tiny bit OOC for Igorina, but I'm not sure. I love it, thanks for writing.

Mal is a sweetheart and Igor is a wonderful person and them interacting in any way makes me want to hug them forever and also cry a lot. I think you have problems with children and breaking them in horrible ways but it was SO WELL-WRITTEN and I did not give you permission to do this with my emotions.

Irreverent note: I love how men who are storming a vampire castle can't tell what an Igor is. And, you know, jump to the conclusion that the one who obviously has a heartbeat because she's bleeding all over the damn place is CLEARLY AN UNDEAD CREATURE OF THE NIGHT, THERE CAN BE NO OTHER EXPLANATION.

Also also-you wrote a whole fic all by yourself that made actual sense and had a logical narrative structure! I am so proud of you.
