Wow...that was so...good! I don't usually like fanfiction this much, but that was just...beautiful. You should be very proud of yourself for writing that. It was..really, really good. (i wish i was as eloquent as you :-)

I am absolutely amazed that you don't have more reviews for this fic. But then, you obviously write for bigger things than reviews, so maybe that's okay. You are my favorite fanfiction writer, hands down. I tell everyone, even people who don't read this fandom, to read your work because it is truly something special. I really enjoyed this story, though my favorite is Randy and Joan. *That* story made me feel totally gutted, as if I'd swallowed a maniacal melon baller on speed. Totally emptied out. So, that's a good thing though! Any story that can make me feel like that- that can make anyone feel so strongly- very good!

I loved this chapter especially, these lines I think the most:
//After they lower her body into the ground, the plain, stolen casket covered with violet hydrangea (her favorite), it becomes too much to take and Anya starts crying. She doesn't even know the Slayer that well, doesn't know what her hopes and dreams are, but she knows something about death now. She knows that it's permanent and damning, that her life is over and she'll never have fruit punch again, and those are things that she'll one day have to give up, too.

That night, Xander makes love to her while he cries, and when it's over, he breathes the words into her ear while sliding the ring on her finger. "I promise you it's forever," he whispers, his voice shaky and weak. "I love you so much. I want to be with you until I die."

They make love four more times that night.//

It was so beautiful and poetic. I really loved the way you incorporated all of these details from the past, things that I really wish tg=hey'd gone into with more depth the way you did. Can't wait to read more!

this series was just GORGEOUS! i loved all the unpredictable scenes- the Anya/Buffy, Tara/Spike scenes were gorgeous and they worked because they were unlikely... something I never would have pictured but exactly what I might imagine! Very awesome interaction. I love the sense of waiting, longing, sadness throughout the piece and Buffy's final realization of what Spike meant all along... awesome! Tara still bleeding, his pain, the million of victims, quite the picture you've painted so marvellously! Kuddos and can't wait for the next story! *hugs* dru

Wondrous story, as always. The imagery of Tara and Spike was amazingly realistic and entrancing. I felt Spike's pain deeply, and I felt it heal as he did. I could see Buffy and Anya's friendship coalesce through that chapter. Each of their memories were heartbreaking in their own way, and both of their realizations of love were very moving. Willow's mourning for Tara was painful and beautiful, and Xander's friendship was touching.

"Waiting Season" does a fantastic job of tying up the loose ends of the season, and is a marvelous prologue to your new story...which I am off to read now!

Haunting. I loved it. I'm not a fan of Anya (and your vision of her is dead on), but for some reason I would vastly prefer to see your version on screen. She made me cry, and I don't even like her all that much.

This was just exquisite. Prose and characterization are both perfect. I especially loved the scene between Spike and Tara, and the friendship between Buffy and Anya. I can't wait to see what you do next!

This is absolutely beautiful. I must say that I enjoyed Buffy and Anya's chapter the most. To me, both of them seemed to learn a lot about themselves in just a few short minutes. I'm really looking forward to the next part.

I love the intricate, sympathetic characterization, and you have some marvelous turns of phrase, like "If it wasn't for her, he'd be happily slitting throats and slaughtering the innocents, right alongside his princess, and not longing for the reigning Queen of Pain." (Just one of many.) Fabulous, touching work. I can't wait to see the next part!

Wonderfully woven from fragments of the past story (Restless, Amends) while weaving in all the threads of the recent timelie. One of the great things abo the written fiction is that you can delve into moments and connections that pass too fast on the screen. I've been avoiding these sets of return stories till there was one this good.
