Best Supporting Actor for this little drama has got to be HQ itself. It's more than mood-setting; it's a character that influences tone, personalities, and plot. Walls the grow "more gray"; dim lights, small window, "ominous" and the table which becomes a "massive barrier." Positively claustrophobic. And I always like it when any boss stands up for his folks. Waverly has the intestinal fortitude and strength of character to do the right thing.

Whoa, this grew in unexpected intensity. I thoroughly enjoyed your take on this affair. I easily call to mind how Illya interjected "That's enough!" when Merlin proved the effectiveness of his memory machine. He was actually on the verge of panic. Well done!

Excellent look at the feeling of Waverly and Kuryakin

A fine little concerto this was. Very powerful story, and it casts Waverly in a different light from what we're used to seeing him in. Brava!
