Nice job with a good balance between heartache and humor.

A real challenge to realistically write this type of rescue and aftermath.
A challenge that is well met in this story!
I think the snarkiness back and forth between the guys, is probably
realistic too, as rescue workers try to cope with the unexpected, dangerous, scary part of the job.

And Jenny being on the bus - and almost missed! Roy can be as miffed as he
wants, if it wasn't for Johnny, I doubt they could have made it back in time to get her out alive (shock, hurt, exposed to the elements.)

As a parent I can understand Roy's gut reaction, but his jealousy is a bit tough to take. And Johnny really wasn't trying for that praise either.

tough trust exercises too. but they came thru as the champions and heroes that they are.
