n9voc 9/5/08 . chapter 1I served at Ground Zero in New York with The Salvation Army for 18 days in January 2002.
I presided over the prayer service for four firemen found crushed by the 12 million tons of debris when the towers fell.
Tears came to my eyes through part of this story. Cheers to my lips through others.
Anybody who has a problem with this heroic story of what could have been if our heros were there - well, let me agree with Kingpin "This is barbarism". Those who commit barbarism in the name of religion have forfieted their rights as human beings. - in my opinion.
Super Story, great series.
Thank you!

Talia Ali 8/30/04 . chapter 1I'm so far enjoying your Shadow/Spider-Man series. I've read your prequel, the most recent one, and of course this one. I was surprised when, playing Trivial Pursuit this weekend, a question came up about the true identity of The Shadow! Thanks for winning me a pie piece! I've been reading some Spidey novels, and the way that The Shadow behaves in this particular story reminds me of Venom's attitude, believe it or not. Like Stephen, Venom doesn't hurt 'the innocents' as he perceives them to be, but is extremely brutal on the people he deems not innocent. Spidey's long considered it a double standard. The Shadow's attitude towards criminals strikes me the same way - he's not afraid to take the death penalty into his own hands, even in the case of murder. Anywho, just a thought inspired by your story. Good work and keep on writing! |
