Technically speaking... that is not a lie. In... well, the UK, at least, only sons and grandsons are princes. As Tenchi is a great-grandson, he's not. At least, by Earth reckoning. Heck, in order to *actually* be a prince, the Emperor of Jurai needs to acknowledge him and *make him* a prince.
