Very interesting story. Tragic that Bregun was given back after her first rescue - the D guy died unnecessarily. I wonder why M and/or H didn't try to get some tools through the the T guy. Hammer, chisel, nails, saw, maybe knives and small axes - not weapons. Or trade with the Dunlendings - I'd assume that these guys would throw rocks at the Uruks to keep them away if they were not interested, and not kill on sight. I'm interested how this take at "small group of Uruks with human women tries to survive and be left alone".

This is an amazing story! I almost passed it by but no, I read it and I am sooo happy I did. Wish I could hit a lot of those judgemental characters upside the head, of course, but this is such an incredible story! I hope there is more to come in the future.

Love all your work, but this story especially! I do really hope u continue this wonderful story!

I thank you so much for the update - suffered from withdrawal symptoms...
The first interaction between Halla and Bregun was just as semi-awkward "I-don't-know-what-to-expect-from-all-of-this" as I have imagined!

There are two things about this chapter that I totally love: Bregun getting the 'you don't have to put out just because you're here' speech, and the almost father-son chat between Maukurz and Shatauz. The fact that these two conversations, conducted completely separately, managed to convey the same advice to the new *potential* lovers was priceless to me. It shows that Halla, for all her love of Maukurz, still recognizes that Uruks are an acquired taste (something I point out in one of my own fics). I also see a load of growth in Maukurz, that in spite of the 'wrong' teaching in the pits, he's embraced the 'right' teaching since getting together with Halla. Maybe he can't put into words all the 'steps taken' to affect a full-bore mate situation with Halla, but he at least knows what *not* to do, and some of the things Shatauz will need to do, to repeat the process. I'm glad Shatauz respects and trusts his commander in this, because one wrong step would make things miserable for everyone, Bregun especially. I anticipate that she's not going to trust what Halla tells her until she sees some evidence of respect for her independence and personal choice from Shatauz himself. But I think she'll see it soon; he's already shown some measure of restraint and an almost shy manner by holding her hand at the end of the last chapter. I think think small gestures like that set a certain tone in the beginnings of a relationship, and I hope he keeps it going for both their sakes.

And now it's Adventure Time with Baiurz and Narzum! Ah... I'm *so* looking forward to the rescue attempt. :) You go, old man. Kick some booty (and maybe GET some booty!) like in the old days. Narzum's in need of a good bit of vengeance, too. Was the last kill enough? Hmmm... we'll see, won't we? XD Excellent chapter AS ALWAYS!

Oh no it didn t last until the end of my ride in the train! By the way it was really great, really moving and sexy at the same time. Keep going!

I'm imagining Dragalur's indignant ghost watching Shatauz walk off hand in hand with his red-haired woman and going, "Are you fucking kidding me? She was ready to go off with me, LOOKING for me to come back and get her... had the bloody opportunity to just pick her up and take her home, but noooooooooo. 'Put her back, Dragalur. You'll start trouble, Dragalur. Just be patient, Dragalur.' Well, I'm dead now! So, thanks! Jerks!" *kicks ghost rock*
