I hate stories where Dumby is the innocent little manipulator who knows nothing, sees nothing and hears nothing. Now in your 2nd chapter he gets all irate like Voldy and does nothing. The Chinese call that a Paper Tiger all show and no go!

This is a great story!
I usually just like the stereo-typical HG fluff fest, but I really appreciated this story. Lily and Snape's history was amazing. I'm still not sure if I liked it or not because it would have tainted her relationship with James, but it was heart wrenchingly beautiful- like one of those movies that has a sad ending, but leaves you feeling as though the story is complete once the credits are rolling.
Obviously I would have liked more of a focus on HG, but it was a very good well rounded story.

This is really good, and your 'narcissistic conman' coment made me laugh *really* hard - it reminded me of Cptn. Jack Harkness from the 'Doctor Who' and 'Torchwood' tv series; Jack is hot and he knows it, but his and Lockheart's personalities are total oppoites!

The whole idea of sending the letters to the wrong person was absolutely brilliant!

yeah, I enjoyed this one really much, aspecially since you had really really cool guessings! For not even reading the 5 book, you got some things straight right (like that thing with Snape loving Lily and going back to the good side 'cause of her dad) That was really great :) Thanks for writing it, even if it was really a long time ago and I don't if you will even get this review, but I'm writing it anyway :)
