I love it! It's a great idea to let the reader choose the gender!

Initially, I liked this story. I thought you did a credible job of handling the situation and the emotions involved. The part that I take issue with is Nick suddenly being so concerned that they get married. It seemed very sudden and even kind of forced. If you want to have G&S decide to get married go for it. But Nick (or any of the characters) giving them both some kind of guilt trip over getting married does not ring true to me.

I loved the story, I really did. The description- great. The emotion and reactions - totally believable and beautiful BUT I have a question... Whaz up with the lack of contractions in the dialogue, it messed up the flow of piece and it took me like two chapters before I ceased to be bothered by it. It really, really was a great story but you might want to think about that...

This just gets better each time I read it, Manigault. You've got such emotional depth here, and dead-on, thoughtful characterizations of G and S, even in the midst of one of the most difficult situations any couple could face. Really moving story, from start to finish, and so well crafted, too. Looking forward to your next one!

Yay, I just found the first part of this story FINALLY (after reading the rest of it on the list) - what a complex and interesting look at G&S in this scenario. And I just realized what an incredibly clever title (stick turns pink, blue for depression), which has made me love this story even more. Keep writing!
