the fat that Daisuke's family member have actual died indogfighting should make him farmor reluctant to join the club.
Also if the school is coed then shouldthe student council be joined?

My only complain is that Ki-43, A6 "Zero", Fw 190 are all high-performance fighters, while F4F Wildcat is an early US fighter. It is seriously underperformed compared to the other 3. Why can't the pilot choose F6F Hellcat instead? It's a much better plane than F4F.

Actually, there seems to be some differences to that. The Red Tails did lose bombers, but it was largely to Anti-Aircraft Flak Guns. There was nothing in that day to suppress any ADEZ as there is today with the Wild Weasel squadrons. Especially given how some German areas had Anti-Air Artillery up to the size of 130mm in their operation zones. A shell that big would literally knock the wing off a Fort with no problem.

There is also some indication they lost, at most, a total of 24 bombers to enemy fighters. This was still FAR better than the White Squadrons that lost more than that, on average, in a single mission to Luftwaffe fighters alone.

As for the Jets, I believe it was one of their first encounters with the Me 262 and downed a total of 3, count'em up, THREE Me 262s in a single encounter. If they could pull that off in the P-51D, than the later models would have done better, plus the P-80 Shooting Star had reached operational status by war's end.
