Oh, this is wonderful! I just watched the movie, LOVED it, and yet was so unsatisfied not being able to see the two of them get together. I didn't dare hope there'd be fanfic, since it's such a minor film and a small pairing, so discovering this gem was so delightful! You write them beautifully - their psychology, and all the little things, like his mannerisms and her tone of voice. Gorgeous. I'm so glad that if there's one fic, it's as good as this! Thank you. 3

Oh God, the awkwardness of Linda showing up. But oh so very sweet, Marcey and Greg sharing a bed again... you just know how to write those two. Thank you for sharing.

I love Greg's hesitancy and the disbelief on Marcy's part that something could be 'simple' without complication, and yet both of their fears are from the same place really. They've both been in 'not-loved' relationships and find it hard to comprehend the feelings they each have are genuine, while daring to hope that they are.

I can see it all happening on screen as I read. Ten years ago, they could've made this as a sequel. Now I fear the actors are both too old to pick up where the film left off. But here you have the essence of them - flawlessly portrayed. Looking forward to delights to come.
