Even though Claire can tell Hershel who was responsible for the fire- *Cough BILL cough!* Bill could still send his goons after Hershel. It could be a kind of warning for Layton not to tell the police or else. Its just an idea if you want to add more drama/ tension in later chapters.

Aww this is so nice. I am so glad Claire has lived. This story is so far really well written. I can't wait for the next chapter.

:) I wasn't sure how this would be. Because, this is gonna sound evil, but secretly I wanted Claire to die and I like that kind of tragedy. It's so sad but it makes such a good story. I'm sure I'm not the only one. So I wasn't sure if I'd like this or not. But it's reaaly good so far.
