I really adored this chapter. The concept is marvelous (I mean, you dont find many circus murder fics, much less fics that distinguish between real and fake magicians). The only disappointing factor was the fact that it wad a one shot/drabble but I guess that's what allowed it to keep its magic.
Anyways, you did a phenomenal job . I commend you.

I really like this! The plot is really interesting, and honestly Sasuke is such a brat, HAHAHA. But he's totally attracted to Sakura. I love how mature Itachi is here, as he usually is. Sakura is just awesomely cool!

somewhere between the cirque tragedy and the mischievous appearance of the magician, made me think that in the original the new magician was involved in the tragedy...
and then i thought about your idea, with the characters and all, and i melted.
