Loved it. Brennan once she gets into the mood enjoys surprising people especially Booth and she would turn this on Pelant at some point.

Why was Curt answering her phone, in a sleepy voice? They seems to inbly more happend than Bones is saying and by telling Booth he could not come home yet.
I think moe has to be said about her time away.

Actually crying right now. Really good. I did find it hard to believe brennan would kiss someone else though. For all her rationalizing it is not something I think she would be capable of doing.

I found the Brennan leaving (particularly without Christine) and kissing someone else completely implausible, but that's just me. I hope that it doesn't actually take Bones this long to figure out that Pelant is behind the sudden change in demeanor and desire of Booth. He is always about protecting her, and why should this be different from the line he drew when Cam was hurt?

Also, I do like the idea of the next one being about Max, because I truly believe it will be Max that takes Pelant out of commission. As good as Pelant is at manipulating the grid, Max is good at being off of it. They are polar opposites, but Max's love for his daughter - even if he has to lose or risk his own life in the process - will make him the winner.

I love how "normal" you write the characters. Going through something the way couples in real life go through them (God knows the show writers have no inkling on real life).
