That was an interesting Intro, granted, I'm not too familiar with Mirage,so this gave me a better insight as to who he is. Still not sure what his special abilities are yet, but maybe we'll find out what he can do later on. Thank You. TTFN

I haven't read many Mirage stories, even though, I do like the mech (in the movies, I will shamelessly admit I love his accent). You have an interesting start to this story and I'm eager to know more :). Please update soon and happy writing!

Great began beginning. I can't wait to hear what Sam is going to say about this. Then again he has been Prime for years in this fiction so Optimus may have already at least partially explained those oaths to Sam.

Another awesome story. :) Thanks for sharing. I have always found Mirage to be an interesting character and I really enjoyed your portrayal of him ( here and in TTB and Foxhole Friends). The exchangeing of oaths at the end was touching. I am assuming because Sam had a spark signature here that OP and Sam might have communicated a little before Optimus returned his oath? I'm sure that strong an emotional surge woulda made Sam ask what was going on... Or something.

I have to say I wish this wasn't complete: I'd really like to see Mirage's first true interaction with Sam...

Mirage, so very much the Persian Prince- I saw him as such even before his holoform was described and given, he has that haughtiness. And he still hasn't learned that as an Autobot, he is serving as a noble should- as a defender of a culture and it's people, that bowing and scraping has to be paid for. Otherwise your nobles are a danger to society.

Please tell me we get to see him get taken down a peg or three by a pair of twins, doesn't matter which ones.

I liked this very much . . . I'm not as familiar with Mirage as I should like to be, but the voice rings true. :D

Great story! I've been wondering how Sam would appear on a bot's spark signature scanner and how they would react to these news, and you answered the questions nicely.

I loved the view on Mirage's origins as well as his changing over time while serving under Optimus. Laughed at the description of Jazz being gregarious enough for a dozen mechs. :D Got curious about Mirage enduring censoring by Jazz - have a hard time envisioning it as Mirage is such a proud mech, but then again, Jazz has an authority you simply cannot but bow to. (They probably butted helms several times before Mirage accepted Jazz as his superior, didn't they? Now I just *have* to read such a fic. Can I bribe you with that little plot bunny? *puppy dog eyes* xD) Very much enjoyed the oath exchanging between Optimus and Mirage - it gave the story the air of formality, fitting perfectly to Mirage's origins. He's come a long way from the snobbish heir of Polyhex to an Autobot willing to protect Sam with his life.

Though, dumb question: What does Mirage mean at the end, when he asks Optimus whether Sam understands what that means? Is he referring to Optimus saying "I and my kin will stand before you in war", asking Optimus whether Sam would sacrifice himself if he could thus safe Mirage's life? :x

Anyway, loved Mirage's point of view as well as the entire story. And I'm of course excitedly waiting for what else your muse comes up with. :)

hm...interesting. an autobot who is struggling to accept sam, but then again it has to be mind-boggling for a bot who doesnt know him to learn that a squishy organic is basically twin to one of their kind and a prime to boot. and while mirages renewed vow at the end is more due to his friendship/loyalty to optimus im sure in time hell learn to see sams worth as well...actually, i hope youll address this at some later point in one of your stories. after this, id love to read some interactions between mirage and sam.

It's kateydidnt's birthday, and we all got a present! I've always like Mirage as a character- he's generally complex, misunderstood and something of an enigma. You showed us the difficulty Mirage has with his fellow Bots. He 'knows' he IS "better" than everyone else, but none of them even have a clue there is a comparison.

Very interesting look at the background politics that might not have been apparent in the original stories. Of course, it is hard to read a mech's face sometimes, so Annabelle couldn't be expected to pick up every nuance. A very nice "brother in arms" story from someone from privilege and who left it to do what was right. Good read. Until next time.

Does that last bit mean Mirage is kind of like a Prime now? Sam needing to understand the oath and honor it would point to it being really serious, after all...
