RandomReviewer 4/26/12 . chapter 1 Ashley Lewis, yes, I'm pretty sure the author knows that Judas died before Jesus died, but you don't have to make it sound like an offense. That might hurt, you know.
And how would you know if Judas was saved or not? It's not for you to decide.
To the author, great story. |
PhantomDaae1981 3/5/09 . chapter 1This is very well-written. I especially like Judas' confusion about what to do with the money; you captured that very well.
I did think you ended this too abruptly, however. Which is too bad, because I would have liked to read more! |
Iris Domingo 7/26/05 . chapter 1Ashley Lewis is right but I think the story is great. |
 almostinsane 7/8/05 . chapter 1Great story! |
Ashley Lewis 2/6/05 . chapter 1 Some problems.
Judas was dead long before Jesus was placed in the tomb.
Judas tried to give back the Pharisees' silver pieces, but they could not take it back because it was blood money. So he threw it at them and it scattered all over the temple floor.
Both accounts of Judas' death are true. He hanged himself, and his intestines burst. Judas did not buy the field himself. The field was bought by the Pharisees, with the 30 pieces of silver. They had to do something with the silver, because they could not accept it back into the temple. As stated previously, it was blood money.
Judas was not saved. He could have been forgiven, if he had repented, but he chose not to repent. He committed the sin of despair. One of the supreme insults to Almighty God is to despair of His mercy. It is a sin to lose Hope, because God can fix anything. If you lose Hope, you are denying that fundamental reality; you are denying the power of God, the mercy of God, the love of God. Judas chose despair; and he was damned. That is the lesson of Judas' death.
I applaud your attempt to write a moving and inspiring piece, but Truth is Truth. It must be respected. God bless.
(Note: The opposite of despair, presumption, is also a great offense to Almighty God. We cannot presume that God will save us no matter what we do. Yes, God will forgive us, but only IF WE REPENT.
We must not despair, but also we must not presume. They are called the two spiritual pits: Presumption and Despair. We must avoid both.) |
His love to us 9/2/04 . chapter 1 judas dies before this and he was filled with satin but i love how you portray Jesus |
Window Girl 3/20/04 . chapter 1Well, enjoyed isn't the right word for such a story, but I liked and appreciated it. Some of my Sunday school teachers have speculated that Judas did what he did to make Jesus reveal Himself as King, and I had a dream somewhat like this. I believe that Jesus truly loved Judas and grieved for him. |
 Anifan1 3/19/04 . chapter 1Nice job. Let's hope that's how it really happened. |
Queerquail 11/10/03 . chapter 1 I liked the way you potray Jesus. Must've been a really inspiring class. |
TrenchcoatsAreSexy 6/19/03 . chapter 1aw... that's SO sweet! i love it! i have always felt bad for Judas... he seems so misunderstood... he's like... an ancient goth or something ;) lol |
 Sei 5/17/03 . chapter 1 Aww! I love happy endings... |
 Misty8 11/9/02 . chapter 1Really good and realistic! |
Empress of the Eclipse 12/15/01 . chapter 1Er, he killed himself before the crucifixion you know. Still, this is a fanfic so I'l guessing it's poetic lisence. And YAY for letting poor old Judas have a happy ending! That guy needs some slack cut for him! After all, it was ALWAY predicted that someone would betray Jesus so Judus must have actually been picked to betray Jesus. So I think that getting mad at him for doing what he was supposed to do is really unfair! |
Lola 8/27/01 . chapter 1 ::smiles slightly:: I've always like poor old Judas. Felt sorry for him, I guess.. He got a rough break. Liked this story - skilfully done. Very good. _ |
 April Malone 8/23/01 . chapter 1poor judas ... i have felt sad for him also. :*( |
