This is a great story. I love what you've done with Snape and Harry, not to mention your magical innovations. I'm sorry to see it's abandoned, but I thoroughly enjoyed what of it there is.

The kite flying scene is absolutely beautiful. Eloquent and gorgeous- I've re-read it 3 times already. Very, very well done.

"The Muggle wanted to have a staredown, did he?" After reading that sentence, that passage, I now understand exactly what inhuman glee is. XD Spiriting Snape from Hogwarts over to the Dursley's and watching him tromp all over Harry's abusive relatives is very satisfying indeed. Makes me want to scream encore. And you're exactly in your right to give the finger to the cliche. A scene is only cliched because it's liked enough to be repeatedly written, and you write it so well, there couldn't possibly be complaints.

And YES, I am reading this despite your summary, despite your warning of no continuation on your LJ, despite anything you could say. Nothing could possibly warn me off. Snarry written by a writer such as you? Irresistable, in a word.
