Your story has rendered me completely speechless. I am so surprised I have never read it until this week. For the past 3 days, I was mesmerized by the incredible amount of details and beauty this story has to offer. It is rich with opulent descriptions, unique insights, original ideas and offers an unexpected, though totally satisfying and fulfilling, view of the events of the Silver Millennium. You had me in awe especially with you clever use of elements from both the anime and manga. They all fit together so well within the story, I cannot sing my praise enough.

There is no doubt about "Rubies in Zoisite" being one of the most excellently written epic stories ever. In fact, it is not an exaggeration to say that its richness surpasses even some of the most renowned of published authors.

Thank you for writing this wonderful story and sharing it. Simply amazing. Bravo!!

I don't think it's possible to say just how amazing this work is. I've spent the past two weeks completely enthralled by the history you created and now that I've finished, I'm quite honestly stunned. What I began reading simply for a quick Zoisaito fix blew past every fanfiction expectation I hold. To put it bluntly, this was more complex and well-written than the majority of books I see on the shelves.

Thank you so much for sharing this, and for creating such an incredible, beautiful, wrenching story. "Rubies in Zoisite" is, without exception, the finest piece of fanfiction I have ever read, and I only wish I'd found it sooner.

This was an incredible fanfic. I don't even know how to critique it, I have such a high opinion of it. I've devoted all day to it, and it was well worth the read. I love how you fleshed out all of the Shitennou. I love how you developed such an exquisite, finely realized version of the Silver Millenium, how you detailed the Earth Kingdoms and unified it for us rather than presenting it to us. I love how you developed the relationships between all the characters. I knew how the story would end, of course, but it brought tears to my eyes anyways. I found myself wishing maybe, maybe Metallia wouldn't corrupt them; maybe in the end this would be an alternate universe tale where the Silver Millenium truly prospered. I think you told this tale beautifully.

Oh, my, I can't believe it's over! I kinda sorta grew up with this fic. It's been a ride - I'm so honored that you included me in the "special thanks" at the bottom.

Kudos on finally finishing it. And thank you for sharing.

I was in tears. From the when J & K were first taken by the darkness; from that scene where Kunzite loses connection onwards (which was possible the scene that affected me the most), I was crying. And not the odd tear mind you, I was bawling. No joke. Bawling. I KNEW the storyline, I KNEW what to expect, but my dear Experimental, I just wasn't prepared for the sheer power of its deliverance. And when they change back in the end... and when they finally got Nephrite and changed him, and how Kunzite just followed Serenity around, half charred like there was nothing better to do (which would have been funny were it not for the fact it was wrenching my heart out of my chest!) and when Neptune and Uranus' coffins were brough to the moon, and how Beryl really did try and resist. OK, I give up and am going to go cry myself to sleep. Masterful work.

I don't think there is anything that I can add to this review that the other readers haven't already said. This is probably one of the best fanfics that I have ever read. Your story was so well written, and even more so well thought out. This was one of the best variations on the end of the Silver Millennium as well - definitely different from the standard assumptions over who killed who. Also, I do love how in the end Zoicite and Bunbo find each other - even more so who Bunbo turns out to be.

It's amazing that this story has so few reviews, and I hope that it's not for the lack of readers!

So well done and thank you for putting this AMAZING story out here for everyone to read.

And it's over! Congratulations! :P It was a lovely read every step of the way. I like that karmic link between Zoisite and Bunbo kicking in at the end, and Kunzite's remorse, and especially the moment when he's waiting for Serenity's reponse, and she forgives him through that one touch.

So many epics get started, but so few are ever finished, so I'm so glad that you managed to go all the way with this (totally worth the years of waiting). Thank you for writing this story. And yes, Zoisite does do evil so well...You think you'll write more Zoisite-stories? (*for courtesy's sake, squashes rabid drooling voice in head screaming, "Write more Zoisite! More Zoisite, Experimental!") ^_^

I both dreaded and anticipated this part so much, you know? And through much agony and heartbreak and descent into madness and switching loyalties, you didn't disappoint the reader, once again ^^V. You really managed to reconcile consistent characterization and with the main o-so-plot-holey canon plot points, making aforementioned plot points believable too-.
And Zoicite has a satanic charm in this part more than ever. So beautiful and cruel and sad and desperate even when he's fallen so low.
I enjoyed the most his scenes with Bunbo and the killing of the minister (chilling, indeed), and the one with Endy, because they're wonderfully IC and show his peculiar mixture of light and dark.
And, of course the fight scenes were both adrenaline-filled enough and touching (loved the Beryl bits too. And the 'ruby' ;) colour of dying Jadeite's blood).

Now I'm wondering about what is left for you to tell about this story. The epilogue seems to be next. But will the curtain close at the very end of Silver Millennium, or it will be in the future, maybe? (I can figure Bunbo spending his last moments (and his last threads of sanity) mourning on the corpses of his loved ones) Melancholic ending, but also with a tiny light of hope for the future? *elianthos syarts fantasizing about Crystal Tokyo snippet featuring a big happy reunion :P *
Anyway, wonderful tale. I cannot but say 'thank you' and feel a bit of healthy envy for what you've accomplished so far.

2008-01-18 . chapter 10
Glorious, beautiful, amazing. Wonderful, wonderful chapter. I love the way you write Zoisite, the way you handle his and everyone's turning to Metallia's darkness. I'm so glad to see things coming together, the true significance of the supernova, Bunbo's letters to Mercury...The political reality of the world is amazing, particularly the difficult relationship between the Earth and Moon, and that you're bringing so much sense and perspective to Earth's attack on the Moon Kingdom while staying faithful to the anime's portrayal of events (which was, I must say, completely biased, obviously) is just...spectacular.

Parts I particularly particularly loved (because I did particularly love the whole thing--and speaking of which, I still can't believe you write novella-length chapters! But I love that about them. I'm so pleased everytime you update not just because I love the story to death, but also because I know I can sit down for a few hours and enjoy a really good, really well written, beautiful story about my favorite favorite person in the non-living world) were how Zoisite looked right at Bunbo when he and Kunzite were engaged in the throne room (he's so incredibly aware, and it's a sharpness and acuity in his character that is often overlooked), and the whole scene with Kunzite and Zoisite manipulating the old ministers for their war declaration (Zoisite's killing of Oval...incredible, beautiful, and oh-so-Zoisite). And god, I can't say it enough, I love your Zoisite. The way he acted with Endymion, so genuine-seeming and reassuring before having the conference with the old men the next morning and doing exactly the opposite of what he told Endymion was beautiful, classic backstabbing Zoisite but with so much class and subtlety.

Great job with all the characters. Bunbo's double-mindedness is well done, and Jadeite's turning back to Endymion at the end, and how he gets Zoisite to see sense again...Speaking of which, the battle scenes were great too. Zoisite vs. Mercury was fantastic--I love that they're so evenly matched, but he uses the unexpected element of teleportation to get an edge and deliver the final blow--and Zoisite vs. Jadeite, the way that fight ended was just right, and the pain and anguish Zoisite goes through as he realizes everything he's done and how he's failed, is so painfully right. I love that no matter how Zoisite switches sides, we're able to follow right alongside him and root for him, admire and adore him and love him for his brilliance and glory and kingly-godliness that's part of him no matter if he's been corrupted by Metallia or not. (Sorry for the Zoisite-induced drooling that's been going on all over this review...I really can't help it. ^_^ But I can't think that you mind, given who your main character is.)

In sum, lovely lovely incredible job. I can't wait to read the next chapter!

You are to be congratulated on weaving an excellent tale of romance, intrigue, passion, war, and history (both real and imagined). Your ability in being able to inticately weave together both the plotlines of the anime and both the Sailor Moon and Sailor V mangas along with the traditions and beliefs Eastern history are indeed mindblowing, and the storytelling is far beyond superb. I have been following Rubies in Zoisite from it's creation in 2002, and it never ceases to amaze and spellbind. Continue your great work, and I am sure that even Ms. Takeushi would be as amazed to see this gem of a novel that has resulted from her own memorable characters.

This story is so mind-bogglingly wonderful. The characterizations, the cultural aspects...ack I'm speechless. You've made an exceptional SM fanfic that makes canon seem thin by comparison. Beautiful chapter...thank you for sharing.

I love this story! This was another lovely chapter, excellent writing, well thought-out. All the character tensions and the war and the Zoisite x Ami, Zoisite x Kunzite and everything was fantastic. I really look forward to the next part!
