underscore 2009-12-20 . chapter 8I love this story. I love how Padme's raw emotions are painted. So beautiful, so melancholy, so haunting. I do hope you continue this story! In fact hope you continue the rest of your Padme/Anakin/Vader fics! Your words do their story justice. |
Tearle 2009-09-30 . chapter 8Should I have any hopes of this being finished? This is one of the finest pieces of fanfiction I have ever read, and it saddens me deeply that you've stopped updating.
Granted, I used to write fanfiction for Harry Potter, before the fateful book that changed the tone of the series completely, killed off Dumbledore, and brought no hope at the end, as the others had done. After that, despite my many followers, I couldn't write any more - leaving 3 stories incomplete. I'd lost inspiration.
If this is what happened to you after seeing the newest movies, I understand.
But please, you have a gift. Stories from first-person are so hard to write and you've mastered it. I'm almost in physical pain knowing that I will most likely never see the end to this story. I've connected to Padme in a way I'd only ever felt once - when a children's book was released after the 1st new movie, a diary of her side, completely from her point of view. Please, consider coming back! |
Azrael of the Wicked 2009-09-27 . chapter 8Oh... Such a touching story... I like the backstory you have given Padmé; Very touching... Another connection to Anakin too. I wish to see an update soon, but I will be more then content to dream of that day. |
Kittenmommy 2008-05-28 . chapter 8Oh, I really hope you keep adding to this; I want to see how it ends! |
 PorcelainHeart94 2008-05-10 . chapter 1This is simply AMAZING! |
Nangijala 2008-05-10 . chapter 8 I adore this story! Please, please dear Meredith, just finish it! |
JediEruanne 2008-02-09 . chapter 8...Holy wow. This is INTENSE! But amazing! I love the way you describe her almost love of hopelessness. The incredulousness in which she speaks of how she used to love Anakin. So powerful and moving!
More, please! |
 iri-skywalker 2007-10-25 . chapter 8amazing! more, more! please, oh great one! |
 tanith-4486 2007-07-21 . chapter 8eresting |
eridani 2007-06-15 . chapter 8So pleased to see another update of this story! I really like the way you're building this story from the inside out. Padme's memories break up the linear plot, and make the texture of the story much richer. It also highlights her confinement- there's a whole world of things going on in her memory, but very little happening in her present. Great chapter.
Looking forward to your next update. |
eridani 2007-06-14 . chapter 7I actually still remember this story from over three years ago, when I first read it. Clearly it's made some kind of impression on me. Actually, now that I think of it, in the last 6 years or so (how long I've been reading fanfiction) some of the most vivid imagery that has remained in my imagination has been written by yourself. Your updates are very highly appreciated. Looking forward to the next one. |
Fumblepaws 2007-06-03 . chapter 7Will she meet Ani again? Does he know she lives? |
Aleviel 2007-05-28 . chapter 7I was so surprised when I started reading this, because I recognized it as a story I had started reading a few years ago. You have no idea how happy I am that you've continued it. it is a brilliant, haunting piece of work. |
Rose-Arwen-Padme 2007-05-28 . chapter 7 It is utterly ridiculous that you do not have dozens of pages of awe-struck reviews full of limitless praise. Because, madam, that is exactly what you deserve. My jaw literally dropped open when I saw "33 Reviews", as opposed to the "300" that needs to be there. I've been reading not only this story, but all of your Star Wars work for (gulp) *years.* Wow, I find it amazing to be able to write that. But it's so very true-- I am consistantly blown away by your writing, and hold your incredible talent for it in the highest regard. "Faces in the Passageway" and "The Widow Skywalker" rank among the top 5 best and most favorite (and the 2 are not always the same, lol) stories I have ever read, and it's quite possible that I've read over a 1,0 fanfics. Well, to get to the point: I've been a huge fan of yours for many a year. :)
So when I saw that you had updated this masterpiece, you better believe I plopped down in my rather (okay, *extremely*) uncomfortable computer chair to read. And I started from the beginning. And I read. I've been here for 6 hours and 11 minutes, and I have enjoyed every single word! I absolutely loved re-reading the chapters you graced us with years ago, and delighted in the recent additions. The way you portray Padme makes us love her even more, showcasing her strength, love for her children, and ever-present connection to Vader/Anakin, etc. Even though she's "broken", she still comes across so strong, a magical contradiction that you bring across seamlessly. I have to wonder, lol, if you yourself have spent several years in prison, because you describe Padme's reactions to her environment so brillantly. And even though he was only in one SW movie, and didn't have an ample amount of screen time, you captured Tarkin PERFECTLY. The beanpole dude in your story is totally the same beanpole dude on the TV screen. I 100% buy it. As always, your trademark shines through with witty, creative, and flowing words that capture the characterization of Padme flawlessly. To get to the point again (*chuckle*): I love your writing.
I have no idea if this review will factor into how soon you update again, but I figured it was worth a try-- even if so you at least know that there are people out there appreciating your work. As much as I would love to overtly plead for another chapter ASAP, I can't not admit that even if the next chapter doesn't come for another two years, I'll still be there to read it. Rare stories like yours completely deserve the patience. As long as you're writing, I'll be reading. :) |
 Megami-no-hime 2006-06-21 . chapter 1Darkly interesting. I like the way Padme thinks. |
