I like seeing Yaone represented well, with a brain and a backbone, rather than being written off as the token dumb female. You've fleshed her out here with some nice character development. The juxtaposition of what she's writing with what she's really thinking works well here, too.

i haven't seen many yaone-centric fics, so this was a pleasant surprise. i think you've got a real talent at getting under a character's skin, and this is no exception. ~_^

I have to admit I didn't have a very high opinion of Yaone at first until that particular volume of Saiyuki. I like this fic a lot because it reminds me of her spunkier side and all the trials she had to go through.
