Well, the premise of the plot is certainly intriguing. However, the many years sans update leaves me to wonder if the plot has a direction ...? Even though I am (usually rightly) doubtful of a female character thrown into the Saiyuki mix, you have thus far sparked an interest in me, and I do want to know what happens next.

i like this fic. that much is obvious. in fact, i'm a fan of yours from harry potter, and since i have interest in sayuki... I really liked it so far. As a note, Hakkai doesn't get drunk. I saw an episode where he was in a drinking contest, and he was the ONLY one to not even get a buzz. So he could have had another cup of sake. It wouldn't have done anything. But it's a really good story so far, I can't wait for more.

Your fic's pretty good, although a little more attention to detail would be good. *grins*. I know, I have the same problem. However, moving the plot too quickly does, conversely, cause the fic to lose it's impact. Especially when it's 3 in the morning and you're trying to read a 10,000 word chapter (um, yes, that's why I prefer to break stuff up into bite-sized chunks.. but also because I write at 2,000 word shots.)

One small thing - a smirk is an 'An affected, often offensively self-satisfied smile.' The only time I've seen Sanzo smirk is when he's killing someone who's annoyed him a lot. I just don't see him smirking otherwise. _

Finally, please, please don't turn this into a Mary Sue... *begs*
