Just a great story. I enjoyed it more and more as it went on. I always prefer explorations of character that are very clsoe to the original story and timeline. Well done.

First of all, happy birthday to you since I am reading this in October and your birthday is in October. You are handling Kenshin and Kaoru very well which is tricky. It's nice to have them move closer here but you can't have them move too close without changing the storyline. You've done an excellent job keeping everyone in character throughout while continuing to develop relationships realistically within the context of the manga.

Oh...heartbreaker..what a sad, bittersweet ending to the chapter.

Poor Yaqhiko, he really didn't know what he did. I like how Kenshin dragged himself to the window. Very sweet, WAFFY moment for K & K after the beam comes down. Lovely chapter.

A smile from Aoshi, Hiko telling stories about Kenshin's childhood and Kenshin awake...what more could you ask for. My favorite part was definitely the tender moment between Kenshin and Kaoru as he just wakes up. So close...

I am so glad you gave us Kenshin's perspective. Well done.

Best chapter yet. You certainly have a way with Megumi. It must be very hard for her as she is working to bring Kenshin back from the brink of death and all he can think about is another woman. Doctor's have feelings too. Good job on getting Sano's senstive side. Also, I like the way Kaoru obviously flipped Yahiko. She's got her spirit back.

I especially like the confrontation between Megumi and Aoshi. Of course, Megumi would be worried since she knew Aoshi only has a prison guard. I like how you also captured Aoshi's confusion at her offer of help.

I think this is s a nice idea to explore in detail their recovery after Shishio. I like how the first doctor gave up on Sano and how Hiko stood guard over Kneshin and the others.
