Hi! It's me! Thanks for all these reaponses - I honsetly didn't think I'd get any at all!! Yes - Luke is talking to the Force - but also Obi-Wan, Yoda, Padme', Qui-Gon and every other being that has passed on, because they are now a part of the Force. And Luke is also talking to himself, since he is a living being and life creates the Force. Or at least that's my take on things. :) This is why I tried to add familiar lines of dialogue from deceased characters. I also added lines that were yet to be spoken, since the Force encompasses everything that is past, present or future. Kinda wierd, I know. :)I figured since Anakin was basically created by the Force then Luke would sort-of be the granson of the Force. So Luke is having a nice little chat with his very powerful and all-knowing 'grandfather'. (hence the 'fatherly' and 'son' reference.)It might be a bit blasphemous, but my idea was to liken Luke's journey to face Vader to the Christian story of Jesus' agony on the garden - when Jesus was haunted by doubt and fear and prayed to his Father for strength the night be was captured. Does that make any sense?? *lol*

Hey, good stuff! Great to see some father/son themed fic on ff.net. As for who Luke was talking to, I thought it was quite obvious it was supposed to be The Force, but then I read the reviews, I realized it wasn't so obvious after all. It was an interesting new take on the Force ... it isn't often I read a fic where the Force has it's own distinct personality and motives, so that added a new dimension to this fic.

Very impressive. Your rambling is better than most peple's conscious efforts:) This is one of the best Fics that I have seen in a long while.
