The tension was good at the beginning, languished in the middle, and did not carry through at the end. What a disappointing ending.

Oh my god. That was amazing. I've been LOOKING for a fic where Akira acknowledges that Hikaru has two different "personas"... and you did it brilliantly. That was so cute, how Hikaru would look up at Sai (I could imagine them raising eyebrows at each other and the like), and how Akira was thinking Hikaru was over-acting about it. Hehe. AWESOME. This is definitely going on my faves.
