Oh, please. Enjolras and Eponine...the one pairing that has the unique ability to be both cliched and completely unsupported and unreasonable. Do they even speak to each other at all, in the book or in the musical? Enjolras in love with anyone but Grantaire, or possibly Combeferre, though I frown on that, is something I cannot grasp. Enjy/R forever! Down with Eponine!

I've considered doing some Enjolras/Eponine stuff before, and you've pretty much convinced me to try. I loved this! I got shivers at the end..it was really well written!

I just have one question: how is this possible? According to the book, the musical, and even the untrustworthy movie interpretations, the two of them never meet. No matter what they say, you can't develop passionate romantic feelings for someone by just seeing them once. If you were going to change the story, you should have at least given it some background: shown how they met, shown WHY it was that he fell in love with her (As unlikely as that is in the particular character's case). You really can do better. I've read some of your CATS fic (Which I actually liked better than the show itself) and it was quite good. You might want to retry with this one, though.

Isn't it sad that Eponine was completely devoted to Marius, and yet ignored? Her pain really speaks to the angst that each of us has felt; the bitter sting of unrequited adoration. You have made it that much more painful: Enjolras silently pines, and, in turn, he abandons his own true love, for was he not the 'marble lover of liberty' in m'sieur Hugo's fine novel? If only he had kept his eyes fixed on the ideal of a better government, and not allowed them to stray to material lusts, perhaps he would have survived.

Oh...that was so sad! It was beautiful! A very original concept, and well-written for all the characters. I would love to see more of your writing!
