The Slayer and the Wolf

Prologue:

Dawn was in her science class, when she first saw him. He knocked gently on the door. The teacher called him in. A boy about her age entered. He wore a black leather jacket and wore some cool shades. He was a hottie, but there was something dangerous about him. He walked to the teacher with the grace of a predator, that remembered her the way Spike paced. He gave the teacher a note. She read it and addressed the class.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your new classmate. Dan Vukovic." She turned to Dan and pointed at the empty seat next to Dawn. "You can sit next to Dawn." He walked to his seat and made a sniff sound and took a look at Dawn. He stopped in his track.

"Ma'am, would you might if I sit at the back? I feel uncomfortable having somebody sitting behind me. It crowds me." He didn't even wait for an answer and walked to the last row and sat down.

"Eh, sure. Would you remove you sunglasses, please." There was a moment of silence before he answered. "I got light sensitive eyes." That was all he said. He took out a book and some pencils and paper.

The teacher let it slip and told him which page to turn to. He opened his book, but the whole time he kept an eye on Dawn. Dawn felt it and it crept her out. He had more classes with her and he always kept a fair distance from her. When they were in sight of each other, they observed each other. Dawn saw him push people around even the bullies, but he didn't push them physical. He did it with his presence. On the other hand he was always respectful and polite toward the teachers. The teachers with respect, the students with some kind of contempt, but only with her he somehow couldn't make up his mind. He even growled at her once, a soft growl. This is how the week went, day in day out. But that changed after the incident that happened next week.

End Prologue.
